The Joy of Food, Lund Gallery

Joanna is taking part in ‘The Joy of Food’, a new exhibition opening at the Lund Gallery, Easingwold, North Yorkshire. Featuring work by over thirty artists in a variety of media, she will be showing her large-scale wallhangings on wool and linen, as well as examples from her three ranges of hand-printed table linen, which have a culinary theme.

Courses and Workshops

Courses takes place in Joanna’s studio, a large, warm(!) and well-equipped space within the ‘WASPS’ complex situated in Dennistoun, just east of Glasgow City Centre. They are suitable for both beginners and those who have some screen-printing knowledge, as well as for those with a wider experience who want some concentrated time to develop their work. Participants are encouraged to think creatively and be experimental in their approach.

‘Perpetual Mapping’

Joanna is showing new work at the Danish Cultural Institute in Edinburgh as part of the ‘Perpetual Mapping’ series she is currently developing. Supported by a Craft Makers Award from Glasgow Life and Creative Scotland and featuring pieces on linen and wool, the work forms part of a group show with Alisdair McKay, Bente Astrup Moe and Sidsel Dorph-Jensen. ‘Textile, Silver, Wood’ runs until 14th April 2011. www.dancult.co.uk
